20 attorneys general ask federal judge to reverse deep cuts to US Health and Human Services

Attorney General and Washington, DC, US Health and Human Services agencies in six states have challenged the Trump administration’s huge reconstruction life -saving programs and the bill to increase the health crisis to the left states.

A case was filed in the Federal Court on Rhode Island on Monday, New York Attorney General Leia James said. Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Miland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhodeland, Washington, Wisconsin and Columbia are signed by allegations.

Attorney General said Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was restructured in March, removing more than 5,700 employees, and breaking 20 agencies under the broad HHS umbrella to 5, the Attorney General said. According to the case, the administration of President Donald Trump was already released by an additional 10,000 employees and combined the cuts of 25% of HHS workers.

The Attorney General writes, “In his first three months, Secretary Kennedy and this administration deprived HHS of the resources needed to work,” the Attorney General wrote.

Kennedy says he wants to facilitate public health agencies in the country and reduce unnecessaryness throughout them with trimming. The administration’s guidelines dubbed, “Make America again heal.”

The HHS is one of the most expensive federal agencies in the government, the annual budget is about 1.7 trillion, which is mostly spent on healthcare coverage for millions of Medicare and Medicaid.

James, who is leading the case, has called the reconstruction a “obvious and illegal attack” which will endanger life.

“This is not official reform. It’s not skill,” James said at a press conference on Monday.

The Atornies General says the cuts are limited to some infectious diseases as a result of these cuts, the federal government has not tracked the risk of cancer among US firefighters, child -time education programs have kept the future funds and programs in order to monitor cancer and maternal health. The case says the cuts in the disease control and prevention centers have also hampered the state’s ability to respond to one of the largest ham outbreaks in recent years, the case said.

They said, “The main functions of the department were no involuntary side effects of these chaos and immersion, but rather the intended result of the” great guide “. They want a judge to empty the guide because they say that the administration unilaterally cannot eradicate programs and funds created by the Congress.

The reconstruction removes the entire team of people who maintain the federal poverty guidelines used by the states to determine whether it is suitable for medical, nutrition assistance and other programs. A tobacco resistance agency was intestinal. The damage to the employees was also significant in the abuse of substances and mental health care administration.

The Trump administration is already facing other legal challenges because of the reducing public health organizations and research agencies. A coalition of 20 states filed a federal case on Road Island last month by the administration’s Covid -1 initiative and decided to reduce the $ 1 billion of the federal fund for various public health projects across the country.
