On Wednesday, the US embassy in Bahamas issued a warning for sexual abuse for women hired by Jet Skis at Nassau.
According to a warning posted on the embassy website, Nassau Jet Ski operators have been alleged to have raped and sexually assaulted several American women.
The attack includes two US women who reported the rape last month. Last year, a total of three rapes were reported related to jet ski fare.
The embassy said sexual harassment against women has also occurred in the jet ski-related incident.

“Female victims say male jet ski operators have picked up their suburban Nassau and Paradise Island Beach. It includes territories from Junku Beach to Sanders Beach and Cabbage Beach,” said the US embassy. “The victims said they were raped and assaulted on isolated islands near New Providence.”
Four Americans had been admitted to the hospital with an injured jet ski accident since last year last year, “two of whom” were needed to be removed in the United States because of their injuries. “

“Due to the risk of protection, US government employees working in Bahamas have been banned from renting and using jet skis in the new Providence and Paradise Islands,” the embassy said.
Embassy officials also advise to avoid renting jet ski in Bahamas, to be aware of their own surroundings, be careful at the public restroom and Nassau beach, and follow local weather and marine alerts.
