Draft budget plan proposes deep cuts across federal health programs

New York – Federal officials are promoting a draft budget proposal that will act as a roadmap for dramatic extra cuts and more public works in federal health programs.

Although it is initial, the document gives an indication of the Trump administration priority as it prepares its 2026 fiscal year budget proposal in the Congress. The document plans to deepen job and fund reduction in most parts of the federal government.

The Budget Administration of the Food and Drugs has eliminated some responsibilities and transferred them to the state by almost half a billion dollars, about half a billion dollars will be cut to $ 6.5 billion.

The main budget centers of disease control and prevention will be reduced from $ 9 billion to about $ 5 billion, several programs will be deleted and some have been transferred to the proposed new organization so that the administration for a healthy America is called.

The proposal was first reported by the Washington Post. The Associated Press saw a copy of the 644 -page document dated April 10, which was aired among some health officers.

A spokesman for the US Health and Human Services Department did not respond with any AP request for a comment on Thursday.
