London – Ethiopia Tigst Asifa won his first London Marathon title on Sunday, after the end of Jaisiline Jepcoszee.
Ascefa ended 2 hours, 15 minutes and 50 seconds in the formal time, it was only the fastest marathon in women-but it was a mixed race as it was 25 seconds slower than the course recorded by Paula Radcliffe in 2003.
Ascefa won second place in London and the Paris Olympics last year, but the Berlin Marathon added the title to two wins. In contrast to Paris, he confirmed that he left Thames behind Jepcoszie a few kilometers to the left and ran alone in front of Buckingham Palace to Central London.
2021 London winner Jepkoszie was about three minutes ago. Olympic champion Sifan Hassan was third.
