Bodies of 3 girls who went missing while fishing in Omaha found in Missouri River

On Wednesday, Nebraska officials said the bodies of three girls who were missing on the Missouri river were recovered.

The three girls, identified as Lah Tray Mu, Liona Green and AH Crese, were disappeared by CBS -approved KMTV two weeks ago. Eh Cress Mu was the nephew of Lah tray Mu, KMTV said.

KMTV said girls were reported to be missing while fishing in the river on April 15.

The Omaha Fire Department has said that its special operations team has worked alongside the US Army Corps of Engineers along with local and state agencies to find and identify girls. KMTV says boats, drones, gold equipment and helicopters were used to search the area. KMTV said the search turned into a recovery mission on April 16.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s office, which is included in Omaha, said on social media that the body of Lah tray Mu was found on the weekend. One fishermen identified the remains, KMTV said and kept them away from floating until the police arrived.

The bodies of Lenana Green and Eh Cress Mu found on Tuesday morning, KMTV said.

“We extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to these girls’ families and friends,” the fire department said in a statement on social media. “The loss of this young life has touched our whole community and our hearts are with you in the days and the days ahead.”

Laya Green’s aunt told Nickel Griffie KMTV that the two families were leaning towards each other and “we are relieved that all three of our girls are physically now physically.”

The Missouri River is the longest river in the United States. According to the geological survey of the United States, it is usually between 10 to 20 feet deep in Omaha.
