Commanders, DC officials come to deal on old RFK Stadium site

Washington commanders reached an agreement to create a new stadium on the Old RF Stadium site in Washington, officials on Monday.

Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser said the Columbia government district and commanders executives had reached an agreement to return home for three decades. The agreement is pending for the approval of the DC City Council.

Commanders posted a nostalgic video that showed the old days of the franchise, known as Washington Redskins, Washington, DC Super Bowl-winning quarterback Joe Thosman.

“Now is the time,” Theresman said. “Let’s bring Washington back to DC”

The franchise played at the RFK Stadium from 6619 to 1996, before leaving for the Landover in Maryland, now known as the North -West Stadium in the Faculty. Since the purchase of the team from team owner Josh Harris Daniel Snyder, the team has considered various sites for a new stadium.

Congressional lawmakers supported Harris’s Old RF Stadium Site to occupy the stadium site that the party and the NFL would somehow honor the old Redskins logo. Sen Steve Denns, R-Mont. He said he would support the organization that proceeded with his plan after “discussing good faith” with both entities.

He also expressed hope of the future NFL draft at the national mall between US Capitol and Lincoln Memorial.
