Nook, Greenland – Denmark’s King Frederick X arrived in Greenland on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump launched a visit to the Semiutonmas region that wanted to be connected because of a strategic arctic position.
Frederick’s island capital city of Nuuk has followed the new Greenland’s Prime Minister’s Copenhagen tour earlier this week. Prime Minister Jens-Frederick Nilsen was accompanied by Nuke with the king.
As the king got off the plane, he wore a jacket with a symbol of Danish and Greenlandic flags. Nilson told reporters that the love of Danish Royal House could not be questioned in Greenland. He also added that the king loved the island.
The flight was originally scheduled for Monday, but the weather conditions were delayed.
The Royal House said Frederick would meet with the new Greenlandic government this week, as well as a traditional tailor “convict,” or coffee brake to meet the Greenlanders.
The weather forced him to cancel the expected travel on the northern military and scientific station station of the island on Wednesday, and left an aristocrat with an elite dog unit in the Danish Special Force that patrols the remote parts of the northeast Greenland.
The king visited Greenland last July, a few months later he took the Danish throne to his mother’s departure.
This week’s Greenland trip arrived after visiting a remote US military base on US Vice President JD Vans Island and accused of investing in Denmark to invest in Denmark. Trump tried to control mineral -rich Greenland that it was important for US security. Although Denmark America is a NATO allies in the United States, Trump did not deny the acceptance of the island by the military.
