How an unfinished dryer cycle caught the attention of Idaho first responders investigating the suspicious death of a woman in a bathtub

When the ex -Idaho State Trooper Dan Howard Idaho’s Athle was called 911 from his house, on February 2, 2021 he was crying so much that he was hard to understand what he was saying.

“My wife … she shot himself,” Dan told Howard operator. “He’s the bathtub died … I went upstairs. He died. He died … he is gray, he has no pulse, nothing … he is cold.”

Dan Howard later informed the authorities that he was down and heard something hit on the floor on the top floor. Dan Howard said that when he got up an hour later he found his wife 26 years, Kendy HowardIn a bathtub his head was filled with gunfire.

Kutinai County Sheriff’s deputy Miranda Thomas was one of the first reactionists to arrive in How Words’s house that night. Thomas later described how Dan Howard was “shouting, shouting, asking us for help … crying, gaging, simply freaking out of overall types”.

Also in the scene that night was Kutina County Sheriff’s detective Jerry North Rap. North -North confirmed that 911 calls were sent as a suicide, but it describes that it didn’t take long for his team to be suspicious.

North Rup said, “Naked for a woman to shoot herself in her own tub,” “does not mean that it doesn’t happen – that means it’s simply unusual.”

There were other evidence at the scene that was stuck to the investigators. According to Northrup, broken glass was found in the initial bedroom and Kendy Howard’s clothing was thrown to the floor. There was a wet towel behind the bathroom door and when investigators first arrived at the scene, they informed that the tub water was still hot. Thomas noticed that a packed dough bag filled with women was lying under the stairs, and the shirt that Dan Howard was wearing was wearing fresh deodorant.

Investigators say one of the more attractive clues was the burden of the laundry mid-cycle in the dryer. Thomas noticed: “A washer or dryer too long, 45 minutes, perhaps not run an hour, so when did this washer and dryer begin?”

Northrup had the same thoughts and recorded the rest of the time during the dryer cycle: six minutes. He told Van Sant how he pulled the running time from the manufacturer’s website and compared the information contrary to the 911 call that was set up.

The North Rupe decided that the dryer cycle started at ten o’clock in the night and the 911 call came at 10:43 pm, North Rup said, the laundry cycle started about a minute before the 911 call. But why? But why?

Investigators continued to excavate and after reviewing the evidence with treatment and scientific experts, Dan Howard came up with a theory on how he could kill his wife.

Dan Howard was arrested in April 2021 and tried on the murder of his wife in March 2021.
