Tallahi, FL. – The Federal Judge is still in fifth place even after throwing four parts of the case on Friday, the case against Florida’s ban on “lab-exposed” meat is still alive.
Florida’s Northern District Chief Judge Mark Walker refuses to dismiss a section of the case, arguing that Florida restrictions provide an unconstitutional benefit to the farmers of Florida than competitors outside the state. Meanwhile, the judge wants to dismiss the case and their argument that the cultivated chicken federal approval does not mean that separate states cannot ban it.
The US regulators first signed up to sell “cell-cultured” or “sel-cultured” meat in June. The case argued that Florida law controls the inter-state market for meat and poultry products under federal laws. Sellers say that the product is a more moral and sustainable alternative to the traditionally raised chicken, beef and pork.
However, lawmakers of Florida, Alabama and Mississippi have called farming meat a threat to the farming of their state and banned the sale of the product, which is fed protein, vitamins and water mixture and then formed nuggets, sausage and stick.
The case was filed last year by the opposite meal, representing the non -profit law firm The Institute for Justice.
On the contrary CEO Uma Valey said in a statement, “The opposite is not looking forward to the conventional meat replacement, which will always be a place on the table.” “What we want is the right to competition, so that the Floridians can try our product to have delicious meat without the need for animals. Today’s judgment is an important step towards protecting that right.”
The governor’s office and Florida did not respond instantly to the emails asking the agriculture and customer service department as well as comments about the case.
Governor Ron Dientis flanted last May when he signed the law on the meat ban of the state cultivation in the state.
“We are standing with the farming, we are standing with the cattle, we are standing with our farmers because we understand that it is important for the spine of the state,” said Desantis. “Take your duplicate lab-exposed meat somewhere else.”
