On Sunday, the party announced Sunday that a Basketball Hall of Famer and an All -Star Dick Burnett were killed in a NBA Championship with New York Nix.
He is 88 years old.
Gary, Indiana, Tennessee A&I had the fifth pick in the 1959 draft. He began his career with Syracuse citizens, played three seasons with Los Angeles Lakers, and eventually played with Nix for nine years from 9655 to 1975.

“In his entire career, Dick Burnett made everything out of the court and outside of the New York Nick,” Nixt said in a statement. “He had a positive impact on the one he had confronted and this company is incredibly lucky to make him such an integral part of his history.
“His jersey will forever hang on the rafts of Madison Square Garden, and his entire career will be a part of the memories of Nix fans forever.”
The Burnette Tennessee A&I dynasty was part of the A&I dynasty, which won three direct NAIA championships in the 57, The School is now known as the Tennessee State.

He was part of the Nix team in 1970, which defeated the Lakers in seven games and won the championship. He helped on average 14.9 points and 3.6 that season. He played with Willis Reid, Walt Frazier and Dave Debusher.
In 1973, Nix defeated the Lakers again – this time in five games. He was a bench player at that time of most career. Frazier, Debusher and Bill Bradley have led the team to score.
He finished his career with a total of 15.8 points and 9,442 total points in the game. He retired in Nix’s career scoring list in the ninth and his 12th jersey in 1990.

Burnett was included in the Hall of Fame as a player in 2024.
