The Joy Newcastle, 2-1 against the top five rival Chelsea on Sunday, has moved closer to the European club Soccer’s top competition next season.
With only two rounds of the season, Newcastle Manchester City lipped and ranked third in the standing.
Sandro Tonal and Bruno Gimmerace hit a 10-member Chelsea at St James Park, which could have a big impact on the six-team fight for the Champions League qualification.
Tonal was moving the Newcastle from the nearest range in the second minute and Nicholas Jackson was sent to Chelsea in 35th place, followed by a foul on a foul on Sovan Botman.
Chelsea pressed for an Equalizer after the break, but Gamers’ shot from 90th, stopped the audience’s hope of returning.
Newcastle removed a point on the city of 0-0 by the last placed Southampton on Saturday.
