Trump names Andrew Giuliani, son of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, to FIFA World Cup task force

Andrew Giuliani, son of former mayor of New York City Rudy Jiuliani, was appointed executive director of the White House Task Force 2026 FIFA World Cup Tuesday.

President Donald Trump made the announcement on Tuesday after a first official meeting with the Task Force. His cabinet member and FIFA president Gianni Infantino was present.

“I am proud of the appointment of Andrew Giuliani as the Executive Director of the President’s Task Force at the FIFA World Cup,” Trump announced.

“During my first term, he served as the Special Assistant of the President and Associate Director of the Andrew Public Lies office, and the United States played a key role in creating a system that entered the United States around the United States in 2021.”

In March, Trump signed an executive order to establish a task force for the Soccer tournament, which will be held by the United States, Canada and Mexico. Trump will serve as the president of the Task Force, and Vice President JD Vans will serve as Vice Chairman. As an executive director, Jiulian will be given the responsibility of conducting and monitoring daily activities.

Talking to media members after the meeting, Trump praised Jiuliani and his father, calling him the “greatest” mayor of New York history.

Trump also announced on Tuesday that FIFA Senior Advisor Carlos Cordiro will serve as senior adviser at the task force.
