Utah Jazz extend coach Will Hardy’s contract through 2031

Will Hardy is giving more time to continue the rebuilding of Utah Jazz.

Jazz announced on Monday that Hardy signed an agreement expansion, which could keep him as the head coach in the 20-5 season. He will enter his fourth season with the next fall jazz.

“The leadership of the Will was invaluable for our program,” said Jazz chief executive officer Danny Angeon. “He has established the foundation for our players and the basic values, competitive habits and growth mentality. He is one of the brightest young coaches in our league, and we are incredibly lucky to have him.”

Hardy has gone 85-161 in his first three seasons with Jazz, missed the play-offs in each of these three years. Utah won 37 games in his first season, 31 in his second and only 17 this season – the worst record in franchise history and the worst record of NBA this season.

Jazz – who did not play with anyone over the age of 27 in the last week of this season and finished the year with the youngest roster of the NBA – clearly understand why it was, and expansion shows that hardy re -reconstruction is happy.

“I love the Utah and Jazz organization and are highly grateful to continue the opportunity to help our team guide,” said the comment delivered by the Hardy team. “We believe in what we are making. We have a talented team working to create a championship program for this incredible fan base.”

There are some building blocks for this offseason. The jazz currently has four selection with two first rounder, with four selection and to win lottery and land the overall selection of 1-which is just as good as anyone is, which will expect the most expected Duke Freshman Cooper Flag.

Jazz has more financial independence than most teams this summer because the contract expires and only one player – Lori Marcann – Million has earned more than $ 30 million next season.

Jazz Governor Ryan Smith says, “Will is an incredible leader, great communicator – especially with our young players – and a strong ambassador for this franchise,” Jazz Governor Ryan Smith says.
